Paying for School

Once you've been admitted to Wright Beauty Academy, our Student Finance Planner will work with you to determine the best way to finance your education. There are several avenues, including grants, scholarships, loans. and financing. We can create a financial aid package that meets your needs, so you can become the professional you want to be.
  • Federal Financial Aid (a PELL grant) is available to those who qualify, based on family size and income. Students fill out a Free Application for Federal Student Aid, and the Financial Aid Officer will use this to determine what, if any, funding is available from the PELL. Please contact our office for help filling in the FAFSA, or come in and let us help you apply to avoid the common mistakes.
  • New High School or GED grads are eligible for scholarships.
  • Rural residents may be eligible for a TARFF loan, which is a low interest student loan.
  • Visa and Mastercard can be used to pay for school
  • We also offer a financing plan, based on credit history, with rates competitive with the federal student loan rates.

Other Financial Considerations

Once you graduate you'll take your state board exam at a cost of $144 (plus any travel expenses to the Grand Rapids, Lansing or Southfield testing sites), and pay your state fee and first year's license fee at a cost of $39 total.
