         | The Michigan Institute of Healing Arts & Sciences is a professional massage therapy training program that provides a balanced approach by incorporating both medical and holistic practices. It is the school’s belief that therapists should have a background in both disciplines so they have an understanding and an appreciation for both philosophies. This also provides therapists with the ability to move back and forth between the two schools of thought easily and allows them to interface with both effectively, thus opening more doors for business opportunities upon graduation. Our program is geared towards professional therapists who plan on taking the exam for National Certification through NCBTMB. There are 375 contact hours of mandatory classes, and students select another 125 contact hours from our many electives. Classes are offered on a rotating basis, and students may select classes that fit their schedule. A "full time" student, taking all classes as offered, can finish in as little as 6 months.
