Wright Beauty Academy in Battle Creek is owned and operated by Jessica Gieske, and the Portage campus is owned and operated by her husband, Victor Gieske.
The Academy was founded by Jessica's grandmother, Selma Wright, in 1944. Mrs. Wright was one of the first women in the state allowed to cut hair, receiving her "Registered Haircutters License" in the 1950's.
